Will there be a way to dock a Reclaimer to a station in the future, to avoid needing to go down to the planet to retrieve it?
Mark Gibson · Lead Vehicle Content Designer

So we wanted that originally, for the original implementation of the docking collars, but we found that the current positioning of the arms and the engines was off. So we're going to have to go in and fix that, as well as, I think, we found the actual doors were the wrong size as well. The door is just some random door.

Ben Curtis · Vehicle Art Director

I think we looked at that and we did some work towards...

John Crewe · Vehicle Director

No, we wanted to do it, we just didn't have time when we were doing all the other salvage work.

Mark Gibson · Lead Vehicle Content Designer

So it's wanted, but it's going to require changes to the exterior, the physical arms and everything, which are very complicated mechanisms. So it's a big time investment. So it's something that's going to get done, but it's when we can find resources to actually do it. Because like you said, with the ramp-up, every time we try and expand the team, we're losing resources to actually train the new people that are coming in.

John Crewe · Vehicle Director

There's certainly a lot of room for improvement with the Reclaimer.

Jared Huckaby · Host, Community

Like the rear cargo lift and everything.

John Crewe · Vehicle Director

Yeah, the whole rear section of everyone's favourite multi-stage elevator.

Jared Huckaby · Host, Community

Wait, did you say Starfarer or Reclaimer?

John Crewe · Vehicle Director

Reclaimer.

Mark Gibson · Lead Vehicle Content Designer

Starfarer is not perfect. Starfarer is having its insides pulled out. Redone completely.
