With the introduction of FPS radars, will we also see the removal of god-eye bounty markers for PvP bounties?
TL;DRThey'd assume always-on bounty markers go away since finding targets is part of the gameplay, but the decision belongs to the bounty feature team and they won't answer for them.
It's going to be a question for the PvP bounty guys, I guess. I would assume so, because with bounty, part of the gameplay is finding them. So it's not super fun if you have this infinitely long, always-on-screen 'go here'. That's pretty straightforward. And I'm sure they're going to have a bunch of layers. If it's a certain bounty level, maybe it starts getting that bad. Like a GTA five-star kind of thing: okay, everybody in the server, this guy, he's right here. Let's avoid him. But I don't want to answer on their behalf.
How close you are to the comm relays and the security stations, whether that information is getting relayed or whatnot.
But again, if you know you have a bounty on you, you're going to change to the stealth gameplay stuff. You're not going to be loud. You're not going to be going into systems pinging and all that kind of stuff. So I would expect as much. But yeah, we have to see as the FPS stuff comes on.
Well, I guess that bounty thing is kind of going with how other things go. You expose a system with 100%, here's everything. And then you start bringing back stuff with different upgrade paths and bring it into other systems. So at the time that was made, radar and scanning couldn't give them that information, or any way of uncovering stuff or going to find where that bounty is. So it's now available. So maybe that is something that could get exposed, so that you ping out and maybe you go, okay, he's over here. But again, that's going to be more the feature team working on that, and how they want to use radar and scanning to do that sort of information.
