Prisons. I'm tired. What's going on?

TL;DRThe prison escape bug came from old mission logic not ported to the new mission system, and a hotfix moving the leave-prison logic onto the player's law component should make it much more reliable.

Prisons is, and I've learned about this inquiring a bit about the mission, the prison bug, right, is actually a mission. And it's a very old mission, right? So it's a mission module that runs the prison logic. And so for those, I mean, I'm sure everybody's familiar, but for those who are not for some reason, there's a bug that lasted through preview in the beginning of 4.0, I think, or it was fixed just before that, where if you were a criminal and you got caught and you ended up in Klescher, you got what you deserved. Well, I don't know. But you could try the prison escape, which didn't work because the mission logic that drives the prison escape is tied to this. And so the codes weren't outputting correctly. The logic was basically made for the old mission system. It was not ported. That's part of the refactor. And so it basically depended on, when you get to that location, giving you a new mission instance for your prison experience, whereas the new system requires that these modules are persistent and stay there, which accumulates the logic change. And so the logic becomes desynchronized with the state of the mission. So what that did is that you would literally do your time, either use smuggled-in Hadanite from somebody else or mine it, pay your dues. And then the elevator will... to the prisoner who's paid, blah, blah, blah. And then you would press the elevator. Again, elevators are back. Press the elevator to leave. And then it would never detect that the action area that you're leaving is actually triggering. And so the guys have done a hotfix for this in preview, actually at the end of the preview, I think, where they've moved the logic for this leave-prison flow to the actual law component that's on your character. And so now we're guaranteed that no matter how weird this flow would get, it's actually going to be reliable.

We are two hours and 30 minutes in. You just used the phrase, it's guaranteed to be reliable?

Let me rewind. It should be a lot more reliable, because your player's always streamed in. I have a fairly good confidence in this fix. As long as the elevator works.
